    How to Use Qualified Immunity to Defend Against Section 1983

    Professor Sheldon Nahmod, a nationally recognized scholar and speaker on constitutional law, civil rights, and the law of 42 U.S.C. §1983, will provide tools and tactics to use qualified immunity effectively in defenses to section 1983 claims. The program will provide a brief overview of section 1983 litigation and then more detailed education in using qualified immunity to craft defenses to section 1983 claims. Professor Nahmod will address the basics of qualified immunity as well as recent qualified immunity decisions from the United States Supreme Court
