David Badurina
Hyundai Auto Canada Corporation

David Badurina is General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. and is the head of the company's Compliance Department. David joined Hyundai Canada in 2011 and has been General Counsel since 2016. David oversees all of Hyundai Canada's legal and compliance activities and is also responsible for risk and insurance management, privacy, regulatory affairs and intellectual property. Prior to joining Hyundai Canada, David was a lawyer at Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP, where he practiced intellectual property law with a focus on pharmaceutical patent litigation. David appeared before the Federal and Ontario courts during the course of representing numerous pharmaceutical companies in patent proceedings, including patent infringement and impeachment actions. David earned a Hons. B.Sc. degree (summa cum laude – Biochemistry) and M.Sc. degree (Biochemistry) from McMaster University and a L.L.B. degree from Osgoode Hall Law School.


Philipp Behrendt

Philipp Behrendt is a litigation partner with Taylor Wessing in Hamburg. Philipp represents cli-ents in German courts in commercial disputes. He supports clients in proceedings in foreign courts, in particular in the USA, in which he advises about strategic aspects of the litigation, coordinates teams of local counsel and assists in all further aspects, in particular relating to pre-trial discovery proceedings. Philipp focuses on the representation in product liability cases and advises on product safety laws. He further advises on a broad range of commercial disputes. He is member of the German-Indian-Lawyers-Association, the German Society for Distribution Law, the International Section of the German Lawyers Association and DRI where he is the Country Chair for Germany and is Committee Vice-Chair of DRI International.

Katie Chandler is a Partner in Taylor Wessing's Disputes & Investigations team. Katie acts for clients in multijurisdictional litigation on high-value commercial disputes, particularly those in the consumer & retail, technology, and life sciences sectors. Katie is regularly instructed on complex issues currently affecting businesses in these sectors, from product liability and safety, to issues with emerging technologies such as connected and automated vehicles and the internet of things, to fraud and corporate governance matters including shareholder and boardroom disputes. Anne Swoboda Cruz is a partner with Tucker Ellis LLP in Los Angeles, CA where she practices commercial and product liability litigation. She counsels companies about their products, regu-latory issues, unfair competition claims, and marketplace challenges, including e-commerce. As a trial attorney, she has handled jury trials and arbitrations in various jurisdictions in the United States for clients including companies based throughout the United States, Latin America and Eu-rope. Actively involved in DRI's Women in the Law Committee as former Chair of the Publica-tions Subcommittee and Vice Chair of the Membership Subcommittee, she was honored with the 2017 Outstanding Leader award. She obtained her undergraduate degree magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Los Angeles and also studied at the University of Salamanca, Spain.
