Vapor intrusion has become a major driver at hazardous waste sites throughout the country and has affected both environmental clean-ups and real estate transactions. In particular, EPA’s focus on trichloroethylene (TCE) in indoor air has led to increased scrutiny during five-year reviews of CERCLA sites, in some cases reopening remediation activities. This panel will discuss the recent changes in EPA policy regarding vapor intrusion and discuss issues important to both the regulatory and regulated community.
