Overview

The Law Practice Management Committee is proud to host its first Annual Managing Partners Forum. This one-day session provides the perfect way to meet with peers and to gain valuable insight and information on the economics of law practice management. Program highlights include a nationally renowned economist who will discuss the current economic conditions affecting firms around the country and forecast what to expect over the next year. Extended breakout sessions, led by DRI and law firm leaders David E. Dukes of Nelson Mullins, Marc E. Williams of Huddleston Bolen and R. Matthew Cairns, of Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell, will offer an one of a kind forum for exchanging ideas with colleagues. At the cost of only $295, the session is an excellent opportunity to network and to pick up tips on how to position your firm to grow, regardless of its size. Attire is business casual.

Registration

Registration Information: Attendance will be limited to 36 registrants. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. DRI reserves the right to limit the number of registrants who will be accepted from any one company or law firm. Please register as soon as possible. To do so, complete and return the attached Registration Application to DRI at the mailing address shown on the Registration Application. Applicants whose registrations are accepted will be notified via e-mail. Registration deadline is October 21, 2008.

The registration fee is $295. Payments can be made by either credit card or by check payable to DRI. This fee covers program materials, continental breakfast, lunch and networking reception. Cancellations will be accepted by phone or in writing, but anyone requesting a refund of the registration fee must submit a written request no later than November 7, 2008. Substitutions can be made at any time without incurring a service charge. Please note the DRI fax number (312) 795-0747.

The program is offered as a special project of the Law Practice Management Committee. There is no CLE credit offered for this program. The taping or recording of DRI seminars is prohibited without the written permission of DRI. Speakers and times may be subject to last minute changes. DRI policy provides there will be no group functions sponsored by others in connection with its seminars.

Hotel Accomodations: The Hilton City Centre has availability for November 20 and 21, 2008. The Hilton is located at 222 E. Third St., Charlotte, North Carolina 28202. For reservations, contact the hotel directly at 800.445.8667. Please mention DRI to receive a special discounted room rate of $179/night single. Each registrant is responsible for his/her own room reservations and charges.

Travel Discounts

DRI offers discounted meeting fares on various major air carriers for DRI seminar attendees. To receive these discounts, please contact Hobson Travel Ltd., DRI’s official travel provider at 800.538.7464 or you can book your travel on online at RESX.com. If you are a first time user use dri as company, your first initial and last name as Member ID and leave password blank the first time you login to enter a password. As always, to obtain the lowest available fares, early booking is recommended.

Special Discounts

No special discounts are provided for the Diversity for Success or Young Lawyers Seminars, Fidelity and Surety Roundtable, Defending Drug and Medical Device Litigation Young Lawyer Primer, the DRI Annual Meeting, or any non-CLE DRI meeting. For all other seminars, the first and second registrations from the same firm or company are subject to the fees outlined above. The registration fee for additional registrants from the same firm or company is $50 off the member rate, regardless of membership status. All registrations must be received at the same time to receive the discount.
