Description

DRI’s 2009 Damages Seminar is a must for anyone who tries cases, evaluates cases, or manages risk. This year’s dynamic faculty is comprised of federal and state judges, top-notch trial lawyers, former in-house counsel, and a nationally recognized jury consultant. You will learn the latest tactics and theories that plaintiffs are employing, as well as techniques for presenting your client’s case in a way that diffuses the appeal of the plaintiff’s claims. The faculty will demonstrate methods of dealing with emotionally charged issues like race and severe injuries to children, along with tactical issues like negotiating with co-defendants and plaintiffs. You will also hear proven strategies for minimizing damages at trial from experienced judges who have seen them put to the test.

Building on last year’s successful networking and client development event, the Trial Tactics Committee will host a networking and client development workshop on Wednesday afternoon.
