About the Committee

The committee exists to provide a forum for those interested in, and involved in (whether you are outside counsel, or whether you are in house with an employer or insurer) those interested in the defense of workers' compensation claims and cases. Our committee membership is made up of attorneys from all 50 states, as well as 3 territories. Through our twice a year newsletter, The Compensation Courier, webconferences, and articles published in For The Defense, you will learn of the most important issues facing our industry, and will be informed of the latest legal trends and practice tips from the leading practitioners in the country.

There are many opportunities available for active participation on the committee, through leadership positions on the steering committee, publishing of articles in the newsletter and DRI's monthly magazine, organization and/or participation in presentation of webconference seminars, and speaking opportunities at seminars, among others.

We need energetic, and committed, members involved in leadership positions to help us plan the future of the committee. We have many great ideas, but need your involvement to make those goals a reality. Join us as we strive to make the Workers' Compensation Committee the best committee in DRI, in terms of providing meaningful information and opportunities to its members.
