About the Committee
The DRI Women in the Law Committee brings members together to build meaningful connections, strengthen professional relationships, and create opportunities for growth. Through our work, we:
- Create opportunities for members to develop lasting relationships that support business growth and professional success;
- Champion women's career advancement through leadership, education, mentorship, and professional development;
- Shine a light on issues that matter to women lawyers and the legal profession;
- Create a welcoming space for allies and anyone who wants to learn, grow, and better support women in the profession.
To advance this mission, the Committee offers dynamic programming, practical resources, and meaningful opportunities for involvement, including:
- Hosting an annual seminar that delivers high-quality legal education and energizing networking opportunities;
- Connecting members with speaking and publication opportunities that elevate their voices and expertise;
- Keeping members informed about emerging issues, timely trends, and topics of interest to women lawyers;
- Advocating for and speaking to issues of concern to WITL and its members;
- Collaborating with other DRI committees and task forces to strengthen programming, education, and development across DRI while advancing DRI's commitment to diversity; and
- Opening doors to leadership opportunities that serve as a foundation for deeper involvement in DRI.
